My husband has been told he has Cancer of the Oesophagus and can not longer eat solids as he has had to have a stent put into his throat and chest and so can only eat things that do not block his stent. I was wondering what I could get him for Christmas and he loves his food and always loved to cook the Christmas . dinner. On the television every commercial felt like it was to do with food and turkey dinner and cakes and mince pies and everyone sat round the Christmas dinner table, time after time like if it was not Sainsburys it would be M&S all joyous and celebrating food at Christmas. My husband who has been fighting different types of cancer ie: Cancer of the bladder then it had gone to his kidney then just as we thought it was clearing up it was the worst news ever when he could not swallow even a drink of tea. He was diagnosed with the Cancer of the Oesophagus and the pain he goes through every time he swallow and the weight he has lost but one of the things he really fancied was something he used to eat when he was younger and his mother used to give him was Pork Dripping with the dark part at the bottom. I had written to people all over asking if they could help but many have stopped selling it. I even asked for help in case a butchers could help with making the meats very, very small pieces with a sauce so I can add to mash potatoes and tried Jamie Oliver but just got the thank you from his foundation that he has that deals with any contacts to him saying they would get back and that was ages and ages ago, but thanks to you I got him something he can look forward to and he has already had as he could not wait and he enjoys it very much. So thank you soooooo much for making a really grateful man have a Happy Christmas xxxxxxxx from his wife Jules

Couldn't find pork dripping anywhere in the town centre (Walsall),ended up looking online, however, some places wanted as much as £8 for 250g!
This seemed extortionate so i carried on looking, eventually coming across Gills.
