I missed these when I left Staffordshire for Somerset and could only pick some up when I returned to Staffordshire, so pleased I found Gills website they are packed well and delivery is very quick so I can order as and when, they freeze exceptionally well too.

Crusty buttery pastry with a generous amount of filling really great pie

Coming from Staffordshire this was a big favourite either on its own with a mug of Oxo or with veg and gravy as a main meal. So pleased I can now get them delivered along with the sausage rolls to Somerset as I could only buy them when visiting the Potteries. I haven’t found a pie as good as this.

I had a most horrible moment when my local co op ceased stocking this item a few years ago, however, in this past year having found an outlet for this most nostalgic pie albeit by post I’m grateful it’s residing in my freezer for a memory treat

I grew up eating these pies and it’s one thing I miss not living in the area then you came along from placing a order to receiving the package it’s so easy the package is fantastic keeping the package cold and fresh wash sure about freezing them but tried it cooked from frozen in 40 mins and it like a freshly baked pie so thank you for giving me a little piece of home to my doorstep

Having enjoying them for many years our local co-op store stopped stocking meat and potato pies to the dismay of many including staff , trying to find similar on and offline I am pleased to say I can once more enjoy taste of northern fayre!

Love wrights pies especially the meat and potato ones I cant get them from anywhere else since I moved from stoke(where most of the shops have them)so I will continue to have them from Gills

I ordered my dad some for fathers day as he's originally from Stoke on trent and hasn't had a wrights pie since we last visited Stoke (many years ago) The taste is still just as I remember as a child ! Lovely ! Can't be a wright's meat and potato pie. Nothing down south compares ! And never will

The meat and potatoe are to die for. The short pastry is buttery and crisp and tge filling has a peppery hint, my favourite pie in the world.

Packaged well and secure delivered intact can not fault the service will definitely order again when I have room in the freezer to make ordering worth while. Thank you

The pies are just as I remember them! I come from near the potteries but now live in Yorkshire, they are such a treat delivery and packaging excellent, l will be ordering more in the near future.

Living in Cornwall I could not find a decent meat and potato pie. Then I remembered the pies I had at home in Tunstall. Wright's Pies. Initially I couldn't find a supplier then came across Gills. I've placed a couple of orders so far. The pie whilst not like the ones I remember are OK but the mince should be bigger to make the pie more succulent. Still enjoyable though.

I bought a selection of Weed rights Pies and they are gorgeous and a taste of home. Brilliant and quick delivery.
